If you need to use an interactive session to manage files or read e-mail via the mail program pine you should use a program called ssh.

To use ssh from an OS X based Mac do the following:

Go to the Application's Folder and open the Utility Folder

In the Utility Folder you will find an application call Terminal, double click on it.

A window will open with a text prompt. At the prompt type in the following:

ssh user@wcnet.org

where user is your WCNet username, the first time you do this it will ask if you want to add a key to your computer, type a "y" to add it.

You will then be asked for your WCNet password, type it in and hit return . You will then be given the text based interface to WCNet.
